The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever wishes may fast on the day of 'Ashura'."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ
" إِنْ شَاءَ صَامَ ".
